Meet on arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport / Railway Station and straight drive to Puri. On arrival at Puri check-in at hotel. Later excursion of Konark Sun Temple. In the evening visit to Jagannath Temple. Overnight stay at hotel. Konark Temple: The UNESCO world heritage site, this temple of Sun God was constructed in the 13th century. It has been in ruins for centuries but until the early 1900's it was simply an interesting ruin of impressive size. Then the debris and sand was cleared from around the temple base and the sheer magnitude of its architect's imagination was revealed. The entire temple was conceived as a chariot for the sun God, Surya. Around the base of the temple there are 24 gigantic, carved stone wheels, seven mighty horses haul at the temple and the immense structure is covered with carvings, sculptures, figures. If the temple was completed it would have soared to 70 meters high. Three images of Surya still stand and are designed to catch the sun at dawn, at noon and at sunset.

After breakfast go for excursion of Chilika Lake - the Asia's largest brackish water lagoon which attract one million migrate birds. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds on the Indian sub-continent. The lake is home to a number of threatened species of plants and Animals. The Lake is an ecosystem with large fishery resources. It sustains more than 150,000 fisher - folk living in 132 villages on the shore and islands. Dhauli Peace Pagoda is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage in India. It is the same place where Emperor Ashoka after the great Kalinga war renounced the war and embraced Buddhism. The temple is called as Raja Rani due to the use of particular type of sandstone in the construction of the structure bearing the name as Raja rani. Lingaraj Temple: As the name suggests this temple is the Biggest temple of Lord Shiva who is worshipped here. Pilgrims across the globe come to visit this holy temple. Khandagiri & Udayagiri Cave: The rocks of the khandagiri & Udayagiri hills were carved & tunnelled to create this multi storied ancient apartment residence for jain monks. After breakfast drive to Ratnagiri. On arrival at Ratnagiri check-in at hotel. Continue with the sightseeing & visit Ratnagiri - The place is the gem of the Buddhist complex. Udayagiri in district Jajpur of odisha, at a distance of 90 km from Bhubaneshwar and a significant part of well known diamond Buddhist triangle of Odisha and is famous for the largest Buddhist complexes. The Buddhist Monastic Complexes consists of the Monastery, Stupa and other structural and material remains. Lalitgiri is one of the earliest monasteries and the hills were occupied by buddhist from 1 century AD, is located in Jajpur in Orissa. Excavation reveal four monasteries in the hill. On the 3rd day, after breakfast, you can check out from the hotel in Bhubaneswar and drive to Gopalpur en route you can visit Chilika Lake in Barkul. Here, you can enjoy boat cruise around the lake and also get a beautiful view of Kalijai Island. After, continue your journey to Gopalpur and check-in at the hotel and rest. You visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa and Peace Pagoda too before proceeding to Hirapur, another 8 km away from where you come upon the Chausath Yogini Temple dedicated to Shakti. The walls bear beautiful carvings of Yoginis and nine Katyayani. Next on the stop is Pipli where we stop to admire the handicrafts and arts of this region. You could buy mementos of appliqué work. After that, we proceed to Raghurajpur, a village famous for its heritage crafts. This is the home of Pattachitra painters, an art that goes back to the 5th century BC. PURI – KONARK – PURI

Early in the morning, the group sets out for the famed Jagannath Temple for darshan and then we proceed to the beach to get some fresh air. Spend some time here relaxing or bathing in the sea and then we proceed to Konark, another famous beach and temple site. The Sun temple in Konark is fabulously spectacular, dating back to the 13th century. Just 35 km from Puri, this excursion not only takes you to the Sun Temple but also some smaller shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and Durga and of course some time at the beach. The beach is only 3 km from the Temple and beautiful in its own right. You will love spending a couple of hours here and watch the sunset into the ocean before returning to Puri for a well-earned rest.

PURI – CHILIKA – GOPALPUR

Breakfast on local delicacies and then board the coach for the travel to Chilika. Chilika is a large water body comprising of a lagoon of brackish water spread over Ganjam, Khordha, and Puri districts. It is home to a variety of flora and hundreds of bird species. Go boating on the waters to explore Birds Island and Nalabana Island. It is the time to go on to Gopalpur, another fabulous beach resort where you book into your hotel and rest for the night.

TARATARINI AND PATI SONAPUR BEACH

Gopalpur is not just the beach but it is also famous for the Taratarini temple. We climb a small hillock to view this temple and then proceed to Patisonapur. In comparison to the more crowded beaches, Patisonapur is relatively quiet and gives time for a breather. Watch as the sun sets and then return to the Gopalpur hotel for the night.

Board a coach for the drive to Chandipur to visit the Khirachora Gopinath temple after which we check into the hotel. Refresh, put on appropriate beachwear, and head for the Chandipur beach. Breakfast on the regional favorite and set out to visit Mundiguda where the local Bondo and Didayi tribes congregate in the weekly market. The Bondos are from the Bondo hills and love to wear colorful dresses with ornamentation like brass and aluminum collars and bead necklaces. The Didayis are from the same region but have slightly different customs and languages. Stroll through the market and buy crafts produced by these two tribes. The tour guide organizes a photoshoot with the tribals and then we proceed to Gupteswara to visit the Dhuruba tribes in their village. You squat alongside the tribes, carry on a conversation in sign language, perhaps partake of the local drink, and then return to your hotel for a night’s rest. RAYAGADA

After our visit to the Barogadaba village, we proceed to Rayagada. On the way, the group stops at Niyamgiri Hill to visit the village of the Dongariya Kondhs who are rather primitive and still live the way they used to do centuries ago. Descended from the Proto Australoids, the Kondhs (or Gonds) are aggressive hunters as well as warriors. Traversing their village is like going back hundreds of years in time and it is an education to watch their natural way of life.

CHATIKANA MARKET – GOPALPUR

Today you start by visiting the Chatikana market where local tribes congregate to sell their craftwork and also their productivity. After that, you will visit a Dongariya village to observe firsthand the lifestyle of this tribe. In the afternoon the group sets out to visit Gopalpur, one of the finest beach destinations of Orissa. The 270 km drive takes about 6 hours and on arrival, you check into your room for a well-earned rest.

GOPALPUR – PURI – CHILIKA LAGOON

It is going to be a busy day as you start with breakfast and then proceed to Puri after spending some time at the beach to watch how tribal fisherman catch fish. The first stop on the 200 km drive to Puri is the Kalijai temple island in Chilika Lake, a large backish water lagoon, home to hundreds of birds and aquatic life. Arrive in Puri and check into your room for the night.

KONARK – RAGHURAJPUT / KHASPOSAK, PURI

The first thing to do today after breakfast is to head towards Konark and admire the magnificent Sun Temple. It is afternoon and time to visit Raghurajpur or Khasposak, famous for being home to tribes that excel in the art of pattachitra paintings. After that, we return to Puri and visit the world-famous Jagannath Temple from where the annual rath yatra starts each year. Then we stroll through the market area and get a feel for how locals live. After breakfast, the group boards a coach for the return journey to Bhubhaneshwar in the concluding stages of the tribal tour of Orissa. After that, we reach Bhubhaneshwar where we spend some time visiting a few famous temples such as Mukteswar, Vaital Deul, Parsurameswar, and Rajarani. HIRAPUR YOGINI TEMPLE – UDAYAGIRI CAVES

Today we leave for Hirapur, about 15 km away, and visit the famous Yogini temple with its beautiful sculptures. The village is home to tribes that excel in metalworking. This trip includes a visit to the tribal museum and a show by local snake charmers. After that, we go on to the famed Udayagiri caves before returning to Bhubhaneshwar for the night.

BHUBANESWAR

During morning visit local sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar such as lingaraj temple (from a platform), Vaital Temple, Mukteswar/Sidheswar, Parsurameswar temple, Rajarani and Brahmeswar temple (All are 6-11th century temples). Post lunch visit Khandagiri/Udaygiri Jain caves, tribal Museum and NandanKanan zoo. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar at hotel.

DHENKANAL

After breakfast drive to Joronda, Dhenkanal to see half naked Anam Sadhus famous for their austere life and their monastery and evening prayer.
Joranda Gadhi is a temple built in a location where three villages meet: Joranda, Natima and Patna. The temple is dedicated to the supreme lord. The followers of mahima dharma worship him as Sunya Brahma or the shapeless lord. No idol worship is permitted in this sect. The temple is dedicated to the supreme lord. Many people of other sects believe that the followers of this sect worship Surya, the sun god, but it is absolutely false. They just pray to the supreme lord facing to the direction of surya because it fixes the direction of concentration. KONARK SUN TEMPLE

During morning after breakfast drive to Puri enroute visit Dhauli Buddhist stupa, pipili appliqué village and during afternoon visit world heritage site Konark Sun temple. After few hours in the temple relax in the virgin beach of Konark. Back to Puri for overnight stay in the same hotel.

During morning drive to Satapada Chilika Lake, the mouth of 1100 sqft area Chilika Lake to take the motor boat to see Dolphins and sea mouth Island where both lake and sea mingles each other. After few hours of boating further drive to Barkul for overnight stay overlooking the Barkul Lake.

During morning drive to Taptapani hill station enroute visit the 2nd largest Buddhist Monastry in India and Saura Tribes in their village. Back to Taptapani to witness the hot spring and deer park. During morning after breakfast drive to Balliguda area (200Km and 4 hrs) enroute visit KONDH TRIBES. Overnight in a basic and clean hotel at hotel Santosh Bhawan.

After breakfast visit the TATOO FACED KUTIA KONDH TRIBES in their village. After few hours further drive to Rayagada (150 Km & 3hrs drive) enroute visit Kondh Tribal village. Arrival Rayagada for overnight stay in hotel .

During morning drive to Dukum area to meet the Desia Kondh Tribes in their weekly market and jwellery village. Further drive to Rayagada for overnight stay.

JEYPORE

During morning after breakfast drive to Chatikona of Bissam Cuttack ( 35 Km and 1 hr) to meet the DUNGURIA KONDH TRIBES in their weekly market where they sale their horticultural products and in exchange take salt, chicken & kerosene. After few hours in the market further drive to jeypore (130 km and 3 hrs) for overnight stay.

BONDA TRIBES

During morning after breakfast drive to onkadeli (70 km and 1 & ½ hrs) to meet the most colorful primitive BONDA TRIBES in their weekly market. Share the alcohol with Bonda women and meet Bonda men with Bow and Arrow. After few hours in the market drive to nearby waterfall and if possible walk to the Gadaba tribal village. Further drive back to Jeypore for overnight stay.

KUNDLI

After breakfast drive to Kundli, the biggest tribal haat of Odisha (75 Km and 1 & ½ hrs) to meet the PARAJA & RANA TRIBES in their largest weekly market of Odisha. If possible witness the tribal dance in the village. After few hours in the market drive to jeypore for overnight stay enroute visit Jagannath Temple.

During morning visit Gupteswar (80KM and 2 hrs) caves famous for its Shiva shrine & during noon drive to Baligaon to meet the DHURUBA TRIBES in their weekly market. After few hours in the market drive to jeypore for overnight stay.

Morning departure for Bison Horn Maria Tribe village inside of Kanger vally National Park. Visit the sterility natural cave of Kutumsar and explore the Maria tribe life style at their village. Afternoon visit the Tirathagarh waterfall and the famous colorful weekly market of Maria tribe and then return back to Jagadalpur for overnight stay.

JAGADALPUR

Checkout from hotel and drive to Prayag of Chhattisgarh-“Rajim”: Rajim is located on the sangam (meeting points) of three rivers- Mahanadi, Pairy and Sondhu. The highlight of Rajim is the Rajeevalochana Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has 12 beautiful designed pillars with tall single figures with faces of various gods and goddesses sculptured on them.
